4th Graders at BES had a special surprise waiting for them as they ran out to recess! They found the HS band waiting for them, who played a special pep band concert for the whole recess! Thank you to Mr. Tiller and the HS Band for the amazing performance!

Mr. Seumus Brindle was nominated by Ms. Deb Hayden for the Golden Talon Award this week. "Seumus has always been very helpful when I have asked for him to help us out in the library. Just recently he put together our new desk bikes in the library. He also delivers books and other library materials between buildings when needed."

2nd graders had the opportunity to hatch chicken eggs in an incubator! They watched the entire progression by candling the eggs at each stage along the way! This week Ms. Deb Hayden was nominated by Ms. Amy Verdegan for the Golden Talon Award. Ms. Hayden not only keeps three libraries running smoothly, but she also teaches computer classes. On top of all that she keeps us educators up to date on new apps and resources to use in the classroom. She also has been a tremendous source for me as a new teacher helping me navigate both the Middle School and High School.
