Middle school physical education started their badminton unit this week.
Students learned the rules of badminton, and multiple types of hits as well as participated in gameplay.
The ultimate goal is for students to know the basics so they are able to participate and have a lifelong skill.

Mrs. Dommer's 6th grade Science students were challenged to create an insulating device that will keep hot water warm for the longest time.

Mrs. Johnson's Animal Vet I class watched Emily Blodgett give a demonstration on how to shoe a horse.
She is a farrier who volunteers her time to come to school once a year to show Animal Science students aspects of her job. Thank you Emily! 🐴🧲

The fifth graders enjoyed some hands on learning in Social Studies this week while learning about the French Fur Trade!
Students did a great job identifying the different animals and then using their critical thinking skills to make decisions in different scenarios as if they were part of the fur trade themselves.
A very special thanks to Mrs. Bloom’s dad for lending the furs to the fifth graders!
Ms. Gesler's 7th-grade Health class has been learning about stress management techniques and improving resiliency against things that might be challenging.
Her students created their first-ever hand-sewing project, which is an activity that can be utilized to help manage stress.
