Sixth Grade science students wrapped up the end of the trimester with an engineering challenge. Students needed to use the engineering and design process to research, design, build and test a prototype. The prototype that lost the least amount of thermal energy won. Congrats to the grand champions- Myles, Ben & Henry! Their prototype only lost 13.3 °C in 30 minutes! #bloomerhawks #bloomerhawks

🚨 Exploring the Frontlines of Emergency Services! 🚒🚑 Our students had an amazing experience visiting the Emergency Services building at CVTC! They gained hands-on insights into the critical roles of first responders and the life-saving skills they bring to our communities. @CVTC #bloomerhawks

25 bags of Lettuce going to the Food Pantry! Mrs. Haas' Intro to Horticulture course is partnered with Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) through a transcripted credit relationship, which allows students to earn college credit for their work in the course. This partnership helps students gain both foundational horticultural knowledge and hands-on experience, while also getting a head start on their college education. The course focuses on practical skills related to plant growth and care, including techniques such as hydroponics, which students use to grow food for the local food pantry each month. This aspect of the course not only helps students develop their technical abilities but also highlights the value of local food production. Growing food in your community is a powerful way to address food insecurity, promote sustainability, and encourage people to connect with the source of their food. It’s a meaningful way to engage students in community service, while also teaching them about the environmental, economic, and social benefits of producing food locally. #CVTCagricultureandhorticultureprograms #CVTC #bloomerhawks
