Reminder Bloomer Elementary School Food Drive starts tomorrow!! Students who donate to the Food Drive at BES during the week of March 11-15 will be entered to win this awesome Family Move & Game Night basket! Included in the basket are classic Disney movies, movie popcorn and candy, fun family games and a generously donated gift certificate to Fat Boy's Pizza! We are looking forward to another successful Food Drive!

Ms. Begalke’s second graders had fun with the daily dress-up days and the daily reading challenges during Read Across America Week! On Monday, we had to read under something so we built a huge fort with a parachute and spent some time reading under the parachute! On Wednesday, we had to read in the dark with our finger lights/flashlights, so we completed this reading challenge in the second-grade storage closet! We also had several guest readers including Mrs. Eder, Mr. Hartman, Dr. Goettl, and Mrs. Johnson! Thank you to all of our wonderful readers!! It was definitely a fun-filled week!

"Say! In the dark? Here in the dark! Would you, could you, in the dark?" - Dr. Seuss (Green Eggs & Ham) Mrs. Downey's Kindergarteners said, "We would, and could, in the dark!" They enjoyed transforming their tables into forts and then reading under them with finger flashlights! A big THANK YOU to Mr. Hartman & Mrs. Eder for the books and flashlights, and to everyone else who made Read Across America Week so much fun!

4K Healthy Heart Night was fun! Rope swing, scooters, hula hoops, and balance beams brought lots of smiles!

Mrs. Cowell's 4th graders really enjoyed the finger lights that were provided to us by Mrs. Eder and the BES library. We had a cozy day reading and letting our skills shine bright!
